David is a highly regarded legal advisor to healthcare professionals.

David has considerable experience in all facets of a commercial corporate practice, particularly the area of commercial real estate (land development, syndications financing) and in the corporate field including incorporations, re-organizations, corporate acquisitions and financing. David acts as a general corporate counsel for federal and provincial corporations. He has acted for a variety of clients including banking and trust institutions, credit insurance, small and medium businesses, and non-profit and charitable organizations.

David has also practiced in the areas of estate and succession planning and has considerable experience working with family run businesses and dealing with the issues that arise relating to succession planning.

David is honorary Counsel to the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) and is counsel for many organizations operating within the health field as well as several group practice plans associated with the Ottawa Hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Hospital for Sick Children and various non-governmental agencies in health-related fields. In this capacity he provides advice to governance structure and policy formation particularly in regards to the relationship between the practice plans and Alternate Funding Plans with the Province of Ontario.
