Andrew J. Scott

Andy is an experienced negotiator and has advised on many significant business transactions involving some of Canada’s largest companies.

Andy practices corporate commercial law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, banking and financial services, franchising, incorporation and the formation of other business entities such as partnerships and joint ventures. Andy has serviced some of Canada’s largest companies and has extensive experience negotiating and drafting a wide range of complex business agreements including asset and share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, franchise agreements, loan agreements and security documentation.

Andy has acted as a director for many private companies. He currently serves as Vice President and a member of the board of directors for The Good Companions, a non-profit centre for seniors and community support services.  He is also very involved with the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC).

Andy also practices sports law representing both amateur and professional athletes. Andy is also a certified agent with the National Hockey League Players' Association.
