Allison Klymyshyn

Allison has a constant drive to find solutions to challenging and unique legal disputes.

Allison is an associate in the firm's litigation group with a focus on insurance defence, personal injury and corporate commercial disputes. She is passionate about her work and combines a diligent approach with a constant drive to find solutions to challenging and unique legal disputes. Her insurance defence practice includes acting on bodily injury, property damage and coverage cases. She has deep experience acting on motor vehicle claims and has lectured on motor vehicle insurance law at the University of Ottawa law school. Allison also acts on a large number of property claims involving building defects as well as oil and gas and other environmental damage and she is at the forefront of claims emerging from the developing alternative energy industry. She also represents plaintiffs and defendants with respect to Statutory Accident Benefit Claims.

Allison also works closely with clients who have suffered from a traumatic personal injury or medical malpractice. Here, her compassion for her clients and legal skills help bring comfort and compensation to people who have been involved in severe accidents resulting in brain and spinal cord injuries among others as well as cases involving a failure to diagnose or other medical malpractice matters.

When not helping clients out of hot water she can usually be found in deep water. She is a keen sailor and a volunteer member of the board of directors for several amateur sport associations including a sailing club and diving club..
