Stephen Kelly One of the most sought after mediators, Steve Kelly has mediated over a thousand disputes since he began in 1992. Steve works to provide a focus and structure to the mediation and encourages active participation and dialogue between the parties. As an experienced litigator, Steve may challenge the parties to re-evaluate their positions on contentious issues and to be creative in developing options for resolution. Steve is known for the energy and commitment he brings to each mediation. Steve was a member of the original court approved mediation roster and is currently on the roster of mediators with the Ottawa Police Service Voluntary Conflict Resolution Program. Steve brings his years of litigation experience to his role as arbitrator. An active litigator for over 25 years, Steve was also a vice-chair (arbitrator) with the Ontario Commercial Arbitration Tribunal and subsequently the License Appeal Tribunal for six years. Presently, Steve is a panel arbitrator with the Tarion Warranty Corporation's Builders' Arbitration Forum. Hearings before him proceed efficiently and respectfully. Rick Brooks Rick Brooks brings 30 years commercial and civil litigation experience to his role as a mediator on commercial conflicts, wrongful dismissal, personal injury and construction disputes. He is a chartered mediator with the ADR Institute of Canada and a member of the Ottawa Mediator Roster. Throughout his career Rick has brought a common sense and practical approach to resolving disputes and he works diligently with the parties involved in a dispute to engage in a productive dialogue to help resolve the conflict. Lisa Langevin Lisa was recently admitted to the roster of mediators with the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program and has conducted successful mediations involving a diverse range of disputes including, personal injury, commercial disputes and property damage. Her experience as a litigator includes participating in over 150 mediations on behalf of her clients. This background provides Lisa with invaluable insight into the best approaches for effective mediation. A facilitator by nature, Lisa's innate communication skills and patient approach ensures each side is heard in the settlement discussions and solutions are found for resolving the dispute.
